Exploring the Hot Tourist Attractions in St. Louis

Known popularly as the gateway to the west this city has a very important historic significance. It was where the expansion that happened westward and pushed further the boundaries of the United States.

It is the largest city after Kansas City in the State of Missouri. There are plenty of sights and sounds in the gateway city for tourists to explore. Home to over 100 public gardens, it is also home to one of the largest urban parks in the world beating Central Park NY by a good 500 acres.

Nature lovers can visit the Shaw's Garden to check out its flower collections and resident Japanese Garden. History buffs can visit the Saint Louis Art Museum to check works of impressionist masters of the likes of Van Gogh.

You can also pay a visit to the Cathedral Basilica of Saint Louis for its unique architectural styles chief among them the Byzantine style. When it gets a little too hot or tiring and a little rush is required you and your family can head to the Saint Louis Six Flags facility to unwind and have a great time. There are rides designed for children and adults as well.

History lovers have places such as the Missouri History Museum to bank on while nature lovers apart from the parks can go to the Saint Louis Zoo. There are also festivals happening around the year the most famous of these being the Irish Fest. This festival is a must visit and happens every year in the months of September and October.
