The church was begun in the year 1962 as the Mission of Epiphany Church in Dade County. The following year, 1963, saw the church being granted formal parish status when a Sunday Mass was organized for the very first time.
The St. Louis Catholic Church is not just a place of spiritual commitment or devotion but it is also an active and contribution fraction of society. In the year 1997 the St. Louis Catholic Church began the St. Louis Covenant School. In that year, the classes were held at the church itself since a formal building for the school only was yet to be built and organized.
The church served as a temporary school ground until the year 2001. A separate building was established for the school in august 2001. The school has classed from the Pre-K stage to the Eight Grade. From Monday to Friday one can attend Mass at 8:30 AM.
