Featuring 63 parks and spread all over the city, the St. Louis County Parks provide a wide variety of leisure and recreational facilities and promises to entertainment people of all ages.

The parks are hosts to various events all throughout the year. Musical Concerts, Social Gatherings, Carnivals and other various events are held throughout the year in the parks. Getting Relaxed! A Walking Tour through St Louis County Parks During Weekends

St Louis boasts of several beautiful parks adorning the city. Taking a walk through these parks can provide great relief and a sense of tranquility. Some of the famous parks in the city include Lindell Pavilion Forest Park, Faust Park, Lafayette Square, Tower Grove Park and Queeny Park. The walking tours through some of these can be real fun.

The Home & Garden Tour at Lafayette Square is a unique experience. The self guided walking tour includes visiting 10 homes and taking a stroll through the 8 beautiful gardens. You can experience the grandeur and sophistication of the 1800s by taking a leisurely walk through the Lafayette Park. Fort Belle Fontaine County Park Walking Tours are also quite famous. The tours are scheduled to start in October 2010 during the weekends. You can take this tour on Saturdays from 10am, 12:30pm or 2:30pm and on Sundays at 12:30pm and 3pm. Put on your walking shoes and take a walk through the first fort built in USA to the west of Mississippi River. There is more to this park. You can also take the guided tour through the 3 mile trail watching bald eagles. You can even catch a glimpse of other kinds of birds as the World Bird Sanctuary will be on site.
