The most prominent and well known is the St. Louis City Museum on 16th street in downtown St. Louis. It is housed in what was formerly the International Shoe building. The entire museum has been built from objects found within city limits, like old chimneys, salvaged bridges and two old planes, by internationally acclaimed artist Bob Cassilly and his dedicated team of 20 artisans. It features 21 attractions like the MonstroCity, renovated architecture and the Shoelace factory.
