The Saint Louis Science Center consists of four separate buildings. The four buildings are named as:

The James S. McDonnell Planetarium

This museum has been named after the great aviation expert James Smith McDonnell. He was also the co-founder of St. Louis-based McDonnell Douglas aerospace manufacturer. This place was opened to the public in 1963. The Main Building

The new building was opened on November 1991, as a part of renovation work that was undertaken by the Saint Louis Science Center. It is located on the south of highway 40/64. Today, the new building contains the Omnimax, or what is more locally called the IMAX Dome theater.

The Exploradome

The Exploradome is the place that is generally used by the Saint Louis Science Center for conducting exhibitions or hosting large events. It was made open to the public on February 8, 1997.

Taylor Community Science Resource Center
